Austin stands out with the highest median household income (adjusted for living expenses) among all 50 state capitals, standing at $78,183. Additionally, Austin boasts the third-highest rate of new business establishments, solidifying its status as a prime location for entrepreneurs.

However, Austin trails in terms of average weekly work hours, ranking 46th among state capitals. Austinites log the fifth-highest number of weekly work hours among all capitals, as per the study.

Nevertheless, Austin's vibrant lifestyle compensates for its demanding work culture. The city claims the highest concentration of restaurants per capita, tying with Atlanta, Denver, and Honolulu. Moreover, Austin shares the lead with Honolulu, Denver, Boston, and Nashville for the most attractions per capita.

The top 10 state capitals for residency are as follows:

1. Austin, Texas
2. Madison, Wisconsin
3. Raleigh, North Carolina
4. Boise, Idaho
5. Atlanta, Georgia
6. Lincoln, Nebraska
7. Salt Lake City, Utah
8. Columbus, Ohio
9. Denver, Colorado
10. Concord, New Hampshire
