Black History Month
To commemorate Black History Month there will be events throughout the city celebrating important people and moments in time in African-American history.
Carnaval in Austin is one of the biggest Brazilian Carnaval celebrations outside Brazil. Brasileiro-style samba, costumes and wild abandon can all be seen in the heart of Texas.
Jo's Chili Cook-Off

Join Jo's for a day of live music, cold beer and chili as they host their 16th Annual Chili Cook-Off. Entry to the event is free, and guests can purchase a wristband day-of to taste chili from some of Austin's best restaurants and amateur culinary talent.
Bloody Mary Festival
This festival brings together the best local Bloody Mary mixes made by local bars, restaurants, & craft bottled mixes. Attendees have the opportunity to taste them all before voting for their favorite and helping crown The People's Choice award all while sampling local craft food and beverages.
As one of Austin’s most progressive festivals, OUTsider brings together Austin’s LGBTQ community for three days of creation and inspiration. This multidisciplinary art festival showcases film, performance art, music, visual art and more.

Austin Oyster Festival
This is one tasty festival you don’t want to miss! The Oyster Festival is an annual hit among locals and visitors alike. Not sure which kind of oyster you prefer? Try ‘em all while enjoying a little live Cajun and “newgrass” music on the lawn!
The ATX Open is the only professional tour-level tennis tournament held annually in Austin. As part of the Hologic WTA Tour, the ATX Open is one of 50-plus events and four Grand Slams, spanning six continents, and nearly 30 countries and regions, reaching a global audience of over 700 million.
