Travis Club Development Gains Momentum with Sale of First 50 Homesites

The first 50 homesites at Travis Club, a new luxury neighborhood near Lake Travis, have already been sold. This community is being developed by Haas & Haynie Corp, a real estate developer from Menlo Park, California, and Castle Hill Partners Inc, an Austin-based real estate investment firm. These initial buyers are being called the "50 founding members" of the community. It's a significant milestone for this project, which has been in the works for over a decade. Travis Club is located in an area favored by Central Texas' wealthiest residents, between Thurman Bend Estates and the Briarcliff community, and it covers over a thousand acres about 15 miles west of downtown Austin.

When the project is complete, Travis Club will consist of 497 homes, with 274 single-family lots and 223 villa units. These properties are priced between $775,000 and $3 million and sit on plots ranging from half an acre to roughly three acres. Jenkins Design Build, a custom home builder based in Bee Cave, is actively promoting its services for this project.

The community will feature an 18-hole golf course, over 10,000 linear feet of Lake Travis waterfront, an extensive club campus, and more than 30 miles of exclusive hiking and biking trails. The recent sales come after the approval of a site plan and variances for the project's water management in July 2023. Construction of the first phase, including 106 homesites, is set to start in the fourth quarter of this year, with golf course construction beginning in the spring of 2024.

The development of Travis Club is being handled by Hart Howerton, an architecture, planning, and landscape design firm, along with Beau Welling Design, a golf course architecture firm known for its work on Fields Ranch West at PGA Frisco in the Dallas area.

Michael Tomnitz, the director of sales for Travis Club, expressed optimism about the early success of the project, noting that they reached their limit of 50 Founding Memberships in just over 90 days. He emphasized the appeal of the development's location, the private access to the lake and golf, and the quality Lake Travis ISD school system. They are now opening the waitlist for homesite reservations.
